by Amber White

The Colorado Kings of the ABA came down to Oklahoma for a match up against The Oklahoma Outlaws on Saturday, January 21st. It was no easy game for either team. The Kings took a quick lead early in the first half and built it going into halftime. The Outlaws came out the second half ready to attack and take the lead. They did just that in thanks to point guard Devin Harris, he gave the Kings problems all night. The Outlaws went up and continued to build their lead going into the fourth quarter. Costly turnovers by the Outlaws and Colorado’s offensive rebounds helped put the game away for the Kings, winning 118-111. The Outlaws had a strong outing from all players, they were without one of their starters, Kennis White for the game with a knee injury, who averages a double-double on the season. Devin Harris had a huge game finishing with a double-double, 30 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 assists and 1 block. Jonathan Reed continued to play well and dished out 7 assists accompanied by 18 points, 6 steals, and 5 rebounds. T’aries Taylor was held to 14 points and 4 rebounds. Reimond Prince continued his strong shooting performance going 3 for 3 from field goal range and 7 for 9 from the free throw line for 13 points and 9 rebounds, just shy of a double-double. Trai Jordan scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. James Toles and Keith Vick added 6 points. Shane Callaghan had 5 points, while Steven Cougill ended with 3. The Outlaws plan to get in the gym and work on the issues they had during their games and get ready for their next game February 5th.
